SEO Powersuite Review

Price review

9/10

With a pricemark of 35 USD and 3.5 USD per extra user per month Sitebulb is very fairly priced and is very cheap for larger teams or agencies to adopt.

It’s more expensive than other client side crawlers, but I still believe the price tag is great for a tool of this quality and magnitude. Definitely worth the cost and much more.

Data review

9/10

The reason why Sitebulb is more powerful than other client site crawling tools, like Screaming Frog SEO Spider, is that it can actually crawl larger websites without crashing the computer's memory.

The Sitebulb interface let you interact and dig into the data. The amount of data that is being put together is impressive and allows you to perform great technical audits. Something that previously would demand several data sources and deep Excel competencies.

One of the things I like most about Sitebulb is that you can export all data into several Excel files that have different kinds of data. This really allows you to get to know your website and the potential technical errors that might be there. For instance, when analysing international SEO it is very useful to have the exact href lang addresses that are being point to from each url. This allows you to understand how they are built and what needs to be changed.

One of the pitfalls about choosing a client site crawler is the continuous collection of data and surveillance of a website. This is a lot harder to manage as you need to run the crawls yourself, which obviously takes time to manage. If you need to report regularly on issues and errors you might have to invest in a cloud crawler in addition to Sitebulb.

Depth review

8/10

Compared to some of the cloud crawlers Sitebulb doesn’t have all the same functionalities. Nevertheless, it comes a long way and is enough for almost all SEO specialists. When you export all data into Excel you have almost endless possibilities to look at any given website from different angles.

You should use Sitebulb for performing technical audits and here it definitely fills its role and allow you to do all important things hence the score.

User Friendliness

7/10

In general Sitebulb is very easy to use. But managing this much data is obviously difficult. Especially, when digging into the data you should know what you are doing. Pulling data out into Excel and working with the data is also not something you just do.

Agency Friendliness

8/10

As a client side tool this obviously has its problems in terms of being agency friendly. First of all you will either have to install Sitebulb on a server and provide access to all employees via the server, where only one can be online at a time. Or you will have to install Sitebulb on all computers and work with licenses. At the low price this is definitely doable and easy, but it is a bit of a hassle to manage.

When managing a larger amount of clients you will have a hard time structuring crawls across them. Here Sitebulb will work better on an individual client level if you only use it for technical audits and adhoc crawls instead of surveillance.

Finally, you are not able to extract visualisations and crawl maps in whitelabel graphics and the Excel data is not easy to visualise from. Still, having access to Excel files gives you the possibility and allows you to provide extra data and value for clients.

Overall I think Sitebulb should be part of every Agency SEO toolbox.

In a nutshell: Why you should invest in Sitebulb

In my opinion Sitebulb is the best desktop crawler out there for several reasons. First of all, it allows you to crawl huge websites without crashing. Second of all, it allows you to do many of the audits and checks that otherwise only cloud crawlers allows you to do, i.e. finding orphan pages and analysing international SEO.

All in all you should buy Sitebulb if you work professionally with SEO and often works on larger websites where you perform audits. Here Sitebulb should act as an addition to your current SEO tool stack - not as a replacement of i.e. Screaming Frog SEO Spider. In most cases however, Sitebulb can replace cloud crawlers that are often more expensive.
